Introduction

In collaboration with the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼, UCLan is hosting a Chemistry Enhancement Day which will develop and enrich your understanding both of chemistry and biochemistry. The event includes specialist lectures, laboratory demonstrations and tours around our world-leading laboratories – all linked to your A-level syllabus. One of the guest lecturers at the event is Dr Mike Waring, a principal scientist at AstraZeneca who is an experienced medicinal chemist with a track record of delivery of drug discovery. He is also one of the authors of Aromatic Chemistry – an °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Tutorial Text.
