The Section of Computational and Systems Medicine at Imperial College, London, is holding a short course from 17-21st June 2013, entitled: "Metabolic Phenotyping in Human Disease Diagnosis and Personalised Health Care鈥.
This course offers a general overview of theoretical and practical aspects of metabolic profiling technology, with opportunity for deeper exploration into specific techniques and mathematical modelling. There will be lectures on topics including NMR spectroscopic tools; mass spectrometry approaches; QC strategies and study design; data analysis and interpretation. Lectures will be reinforced through hands-on workshops, including both data pre-processing and multivariate analyses. Participants will be given the chance to interrogate experts from both academia and industry.
