Light Harvesting Satellite Meeting

8 - 11 August 2013, St. Louis, United States

Introduction
Light Harvesting Satellite Meeting will be held on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis from Thursday, August 8, 2013 to Sunday, August 11, 2013. These will be the days just prior to the 16th International Congress on Photosynthesis, also to be held in St. Louis.
The goal of the satellite meeting will be to provide an opportunity for a focused discussion on photosynthetic light-harvesting. It will involve 100-150 researchers, and there will be sessions on coherence effects in photosynthesis, nonophotochemical quenching and acclimation to light environments, the evolution, adaptation and biodiversity of light-harvesting pigment-protein complexes, the structure and organization of antenna complexes, spectroscopy and dynamics, and artificial antenna systems. An important educational component of the meeting will be a session dedicated to presentations by young investigators.
