This event will focus on what success within the chemical sciences means and how it is recognised.
We will bring together leaders and decision-makers from the research community, policy makers, academics, industrial scientists and publishers to share and further develop positive actions for a working culture that is more inclusive and fair.
We shall consider different measures of excellence, question the inclusivity of current systems and develop positive actions to improve future practices,
At the event we will also launch our new Gender Bias in Publishing report with the aim of ensuring our diverse community are recognised for their research output.
There will also be the opportunity to hear from recipients of our inclusion and diversity grant funding on the outcomes of their initiatives, and share good practice.
We, at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ believe that diversity matters a great deal and that talented people should not encounter unnecessary barriers to their progress. As a leading professional body, and a key voice in the chemical sciences and the wider scientific community, we have the responsibility not just to discuss the importance of inclusion and diversity but also to act. This forum shall provide the opportunity to do so.
