The Paris Agreement saw governments agree to reduce global warming to 鈥渨ell below 2掳C above pre-industrial levels鈥, meaning that global net greenhouse gas emission must be reduced to zero before 2100. Achieving the Paris Agreement goals, while maintaining energy security, are not yet widely understood. This meeting discuss the need for decarbonisation of the UK energy supply, the technology and policy options for achieving this, the consequences of doing so, and incentives that may be necessary.
