APME 2017 - Advanced Polymers via Macromolecular Engineering

21 May 2017 08:00 - 25 May 2017 17:00, Ghent, Belgium

Introduction
APME 2017 will be the latest in a series of successful polymer meetings, the most recent of which were held in Yokohama (2015), Durham (2013), Cappadocia (Turkey) (2011), Dresden (2009) and Miami (2007). The city of Ghent is quite easy to reach from Brussels airport (1 hour) or from other airports such as Paris (2,5 hours) or Amsterdam (3 hours).

The focus of the APME2017 meeting will be on macromolecular engineering for the design of advanced polymeric structures, in connection to their characterisation and recent applications.

The scope of the meeting will include topics such as (not limited):
  • Recent Advances in Macromolecular Synthesis
  • Complex Macromolecular Structures
  • Dynamic and Supramolecular Polymers
  • Stimuli-responsive and Functional Polymer Architectures
  • Self-healing and Reprocessable Polymer Systems
  • Polymers at Surfaces and Interfaces
  • New Industrial Developments for Polymeric Materials
  • Polymers meet Biology/Biochemistry
  • Polymers from Renewable Resources
  • Polymers for Energy Applications
Confirmed plenary speakers are:
  • Prof. Craig HAWKER (UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, Santa Barbara, United States)
  • Prof. Ludwik LEIBLER (ESPCI, Paris, France)
  • Prof. Mitsuo SAWAMOTO (KYOTO UNIVERSITY, Kyoto, Japan)
  • Prof. Martina STENZEL (UNSW, Sydney, Australia)
Apart from the 4 plenary speakers, around 40 keynote, 30 invited and 30 contributed speakers are foreseen. For the list of keynote/invited speakers.

Submit your abstracts for oral communication before January 23, 2017! Deadline for posters is March 23, 2017.
